Those who drive a large two-stroke runner will certainly have been annoyed with the badly damping original fork.

The USD (Upside-Down) fork fitted as standard by Piaggio is not a real USD fork at all, but only comes with a grease filling. The indicated oil seals are only grease scraper rings. Even at a young age, the fork loses all the characteristics that should be present in a reasonable front wheel guidance of a sports scooter after just a few thousand kilometres.

The grease leaks out, smears the bars, the TÜV likes to complain about this. It strikes when springing in or also likes to get stuck at the bottom. bumps go directly to the driver...

The Sebac fork is an oil dampened telescopic fork, the submersible tubes are on top. It was used for the first time in the large runners with the four-stroke engine (VX 125 and VXR 180/200). When Piaggio's last big two-strokes ran off the belt, this fork was also used because the entire front is identical to the four-stroke engine! The “grease gun”, titled in professional circles, was /is no longer available as a spare part and can therefore be legally converted to the fork of the newer generation!

Compared to the very expensive Malossi fork (no approval), you can still legally improve the chassis with an original spare part!

The oil can of course be changed on this fork.

Please note: The front is slightly higher, the speedometer cable of the Runner VX/VXR is required. It's best to install new steering head bearings right away!

Especially with performance-enhanced 180s (but of course also with original ones!) you should invest a little in the chassis. With this fork you have a completely new driving experience, a better front wheel guidance and also the braking behaviour is immensely improved by the better immersion of the fork! So you're doing something for your safety.
