The history of our company began in just one cellar room of a detached house in Burgdorf near Hanover. In the beginning the assortment was relatively compact and clearly arranged and consisted of only a few products from manufacturers such as Stage6, Motoforce, Malossi or Polini.
In the current years the regional reputation grew and the cellar warehouse filled up visibly. 3 employees ensured full customer satisfaction every day.
With our entry into the online business, we reached the limits of our capacities here in the next few years and had to rent warehouses in the vicinity, which were used, among other things, for the storage of the newly founded brand "Maxtuned". Several times a day, cylinders, batteries and carburettors were moved back and forth between two storage locations using vans.
In addition to handling the day-to-day business, we were also present at several major events throughout Germany. With a small team we traveled to the Hockenheim- or Lausitzring and provided spare parts on site.
Even before 2010, the decision was made to consolidate all warehouses and at the same time provide more office capacity. So in 2010 the company moved to Uetze, located east of Hannover. The team grew to a total of 6 employees, which were now divided into the areas of customer support, logistics, packaging, purchasing & product care.
Due to the larger storage capacities we gradually expanded our product range - the young team grew to a total of 12 employees.
Thanks to new technical know-how we have been able to create a considerable range of products in the maxi-scooter sector - with spare parts from Malossi, Piaggio or even RMS.
In the period from 2012 to 2014, we entered into many new cooperations with well-known manufacturers and the product range was further greatly expanded. Besides Galfer brake pads for nearly all scooters, Galfer brake pads or brake discs for motorcycles and big maxi-scooters were now also available. With Leovince we also found a strong partner in the area of exhaust systems.
In August 2014, the first trainees began their three-year apprenticeship as wholesale and export clerks and warehouse logistics specialists.
At the end of 2014, the brand Ioni Batterien was founded, which quickly secured a significant position in the scooter battery market thanks to its powerful and high quality products. The range of accumulators is constantly expanding and now includes products for maxi scooters and motorcycles.
A neighboring plot of land that has become vacant is being developed for further expansion - additional office space for the now over 20 employees and more than twice the storage capacity will continue to provide new opportunities and innovations from Heavy Tuned.
Parallel to the new building, our largest expansion of the product range began. With the Classic Vespa range, more than 750 articles have been added within a short time. Rear derailleur mopeds and mopeds were also added to our range. Beside classics from RMS, Malossi & Co. we now also offer you articles from KyTronik, Parimor Cuppini, Piaggio Original, Pinasco, Original Vespa Forme-Merchandise.
A new online store was finalized after a long optimization phase. Here is now clearly divided into 50 cc scooters, maxi-scooters, classic Vespa or mopeds. With a number of new contributions on the subject of technology and workshop we are happy to pass on our knowledge to you.
Since 2017, our webshop and products are now also available in English.
In 2019, we expanded our product portfolio and now offer over 70,000 products.
In 2021, we went a step further and now offer our customers our products and webshop in Spanish and French.
We congratulate our apprentices on the successful completion of their training as a "Salesperson for E-commerce". Both colleagues are now a permanent part of our product maintenance team - we thank them for their commitment and their achievements during their training.
In 2022, we further expanded our product range to over 280,000 products. In addition to OEM articles from Piaggio, Aprilia or Vespa, we offer spare parts for countless motorcycles, such as necessary products for maintenance or high-quality LeoVINCE exhaust systems.
Despite the ongoing challenges of the pandemic, our team was able to grow to over 35 colleagues in 2022. We welcome our new colleagues warmly and look forward to the future with our expanded resources and competencies!
