Description
BGM Pro TOURING 2.0 Flywheel - for conversion to fully electronic CDI ignition
The BGM PRO flywheel is a high-quality reproduction of the no longer available original Piaggio PK flywheel.
We have invested in brand new casting molds and can therefore offer the requested conversion flywheels in a fantastic quality at a very fair price.
FEATURES
Weight Smallframe 1600 grams (V50, PV, ET3, PK - orig. up to 2800 grams)
Weight Largeframe 2300 grams (Sprint, PX, LML, Cosa - orig. up to 3200 grams)
High ignition timing accuracy
Very good balance
Factory balanced
Good magnetization
Higher performance due to optimized fin area
The flywheels are tuned to the respective application by their weight:
The Smallframe models with 1600 grams are perfect for the lively characteristic of the small engines.
The Largeframe engines offer a wonderful mixture of excellent running smoothness and very good acceleration with 2300 grams.
As a matter of principle, the flywheels always require a 12V ignition baseplate/alternator. This allows any previously contact-controlled engine to be converted to a fully electronic CDI ignition including voltage-regulated on-board electrical system. We offer complete sets with all parts required for the conversion (see alternatives/accessories).
Available in four versions:
BGM8025RT: Vespa Largeframe 2300g, large cone, M12 (1978-) - PX, Cosa, LML 125/150 (2-stroke)
For converting all Largeframe engines that already have the large cone (flywheel thread M12, wrench size 18), but still have a contact-controlled ignition installed (approx. 1978-1981, PX, Sprint Veloce, GTR, Super, TS). Here the flywheel and a new 12V ignition baseplate are required. With later models (e.g. Vespa PX from approx. 1982, Cosa, LML) with factory-installed electronic ignition, this can continue to be used. When upgrading to the BGM flywheel, you benefit from a noticeably more lively engine characteristic with noticeably improved acceleration and higher engine performance.BGM8032RT: Vespa Largeframe 2300g, small cone, M11 (1957-1977) - Sprint, GT, GTR, Super, GL, VNA, VBA, VNB, VBB, Motovespa 125/150 S/N/L
The classic Largeframe engine. Still has the old type crankshaft with a thin (pointed) cone which is recognizable from the outside by the flywheel nut with M11 thread and wrench size 14.
These engines always have a contact ignition as standard.
Converting the flywheel, ignition and vehicle wiring harness creates a modern vehicle electrical system that is absolutely maintenance-free and includes a strong 12V alternator which provides fantastic bright light. Starting on the first kick included.BGM8033RT: Vespa Smallframe 1600g, small cone, M10 - V50, 50N, Spezial, SR50, Sprinter, SS50, SS90, V90, 90 Racer, V100, ET3, PV, PK S
Suitable for all Smallframe engines with small cone (flywheel nut M10, SW14 or SW16). These engines always have a contact ignition as standard (exception ET3/PK).
Here the conversion of flywheel, ignition and vehicle wiring harness creates a modern vehicle electrical system that is absolutely maintenance-free and includes a strong 12V alternator which provides fantastic bright light. Starting on the first kick included. PK models that already have a voltage regulator do not require a new wiring harness.BGM8034RT: Vespa Smallframe 1600g, large cone, M12 - PK XL/XL2, PK FL2, PK HP, PK125 ETS, Motovespa PK75 XL (96M/104M), PK75 FL (127M/128M)
For Smallframe engines that already have the large cone (flywheel thread M12, wrench size 18).
Replaces the original (no longer available) flywheel 1:1. When upgrading to the BGM flywheel, you benefit from a noticeably more lively engine characteristic with noticeably improved acceleration.
It is also often used on older engines (originally with small cone) if they have been converted to the more stable crankshafts of the Vespa PK XL or ETS.
