Description
Mosfet technology!
A defective alternator regulator can quickly reduce driving pleasure if the motorcycle suddenly stops running because the battery has not been recharged.
No need to panic, with our IMP spare parts series we also offer reliable and high-quality spare parts for the “big” bikes.
High quality voltage regulator in absolute OEM quality. Defective voltage regulators can be recognized among other things:
- Driving light flickers
- incandescent lamps constantly burn through
- battery is suddenly empty and vehicle goes off or the battery does not charge properly after
easy installation and very good price/performance ratio.
Mounting tip: Grind the housing base and connection point of the ground cable blank and, if necessary, treat it with a little contact spray. Ground connection points must always have the best possible contact without disturbing resistance!
Note: Check the plug! Here, unfortunately, different versions were installed by the manufacturer sometimes. Our controller will only fit if your old part has the same plug connections!
MOSFET - The Revolution of Voltage Control
For many years, the classic voltage regulators have used so-called silicon control rectifiers to keep the battery voltage constant.
This concept works quite well in small and medium-sized engines.
The new MOSFET voltage regulator technology is becoming increasingly popular among many other interesting advantages, mainly because of its optimized performance. Nowadays have scooters and ATVs, thanks to which many additional equipment such as Injectors, more efficient lighting and many other assessors, a higher energy consumption.
For this, a lot of energy is needed, which a classic generator can not produce due to its low power capacity. At a power current of more than 35A for the irrevocably lead to overheating and destruction of the generator. Therefore, classic generators are outdated and no longer really suitable for those vehicles with higher energy consumption.
A classic generator has a power drop of (about 1.5V -35A) because it works like a power diode. As the power current increases, the power dissipation (heat (arises)) also grows. To do this, in operation, all excess energy from the generator is directed to grounding. As a result, the voltage drop is very low (less than 0.2 V - 35A) and this again dramatically reduces heat, which in turn increases the life of the generator enormously.
As a result of its diverse applications in the electronics industry, MOSFET technology has been greatly improved in recent years to enable effective semiconductor integration in the smallest areas with outstanding performance. Fast switching, improved reliability and great control in adverse conditions are provided.
Special features:
- High-performance three-phase voltage regulator
- Output output output up to 50A
- High electronic accuracy
- Important heat reduction for long life of the component
- Very low power consumption when the vehicle is not in use, thus long life of the vehicle battery.
