ELESTART TOURING FLYWHEEL -BGM PRO TOURING 2.0 Electronics 2100g- for Vespa PX, Cosa, LML

The BGM PRO Flywheel is a perfect replica of the original PX200 Elestart flywheel. With its large curved vanes, it offers high fan performance, ideal for large cast iron cylinders such as the Polini 210.

The BGM PRO Touring flywheel is 2,100 grams lighter than its original Piaggio counterpart. This makes it very agile to drive during acceleration and the engine retains its confident elasticity.

It can be used 1:1 as a replacement for the original Piaggio PX200 Elestart flywheel.

WEIGHT
With 2100 grams, the BGM8225RTE (T for Touring, E for Electric Start) is 200 grams lighter than the original flywheel of the PX Elestart models. It offers the ideal combination of sufficient flywheel mass for a powerful starting torque and a weight reduction for a more responsive engine speed and better acceleration. Compared to the very heavy flywheels of older PX models (without Elestart), it offers between 17-28% less flywheel mass. The ring gear can also be removed (by heating) to reduce the weight to 1900 grams.

PERFORMANCE & COOLING
The cooling fins are curved and have the largest surface area of all flywheels for the PX engines. Piaggio first introduced this fin profile on the legendary SS180 engines. This guarantees high fan performance even at low speeds. The high cooling performance is ideal for thermally critical engines, such as a Polini 207 cast iron with a SI24 carburetor that is to be driven at full throttle on the highway or has to handle a lot of load in sidecar operation.

ELESTART
The flywheel has a ring gear for the electric starter. It can therefore be installed and used on all models with an electric starter.

RECOMMENDATION
We recommend the BGM8225RTE for all thermally highly loaded engines or as a perfect replacement for the original Piaggio flywheel. The less basic power the engine brings (PX80/PX125), the more one should tend towards the heavier side with the flywheel weight. Very light flywheels (under 1600 grams) usually offer no advantages here.
