Malossi Primary Gear Ratio HTQ Z 17/40 – longer ratio for more actual top speed

If you have modified your 50ccm-2T engine – e.g. through machining or the installation of a tuning cylinder – there is suddenly significantly more power in the setup. However, many original final ratios are chosen to be so short that the stock engine pulls them without problem. Result: at higher speeds, the engine quickly "maxes out," the RPM shoots up, but the top speed hardly increases.

This is exactly where the Malossi Primary Gear Ratio HTQ Z 17/40 comes in: the high-quality processed gears and intermediate shafts bring the final RPM back to a tolerable level and allow the top speed to increase noticeably – ideal if you drive, for example, a Yamaha Beluga 50 (or comparable models) and really want to put the available power onto the road.

And don't worry about the typical tall tales: with a longer ratio, the engine does not automatically start worse from a standstill. In most cases, minimally stiffer clutch springs are sufficient to compensate for this. On the contrary: if the gearbox is too short for the available horsepower, you are wasting power because the engine could actually pull much more.
