Malossi HTQ Primary Gearbox (Minarelli long) z=13/44 – longer gear ratio for more actual top speed

If you are running a tuning cylinder or have modified your engine, significantly more power is delivered – and this can translate into a higher top speed. The problem: the original final gear ratios are usually chosen so that the stock engine can pull them without difficulty. As soon as more HP is available, the engine quickly reaches its limit at higher speeds – the RPMs shoot up, but the top speed barely increases.

This is exactly where the Malossi HTQ gearbox (primary) for Minarelli long comes in: the gears and intermediate shafts are not only processed to a first-class standard, but they primarily help you bring the final RPMs to a bearable level while simultaneously allowing the top speed to increase significantly.

And don't worry about the typical myths that a scooter with a longer gear ratio has worse acceleration: usually, minimally stiffer clutch springs are enough to compensate for this. On the contrary – if the gearbox is much too short for the available horsepower, you are wasting valuable performance because the engine could actually pull significantly more.

Advantages / Features

• Longer gear ratio for more usable top speed with tuned setups
• Lowers high final RPMs – engine does not unnecessarily redline at speed
• First-class workmanship of gears and intermediate shafts
• Can better utilize the performance potential of tuning cylinders
• Start-up behavior can usually be compensated for with slightly stiffer clutch springs
