Malossi HTQ Secondary Gearbox 15/55 – longer ratio for more actual top speed

If you increase the power of your scooter, for example through modification or the installation of a tuning cylinder, the engine can convert this additional power into more top speed – unfortunately, the original final drive ratio is often chosen to be so short that it fits the stock engine perfectly. With more hp, the engine quickly revs "dead" at higher speeds; the rpm shoots up, but the top speed hardly increases.

This is exactly where the Malossi HTQ Secondary Gearbox comes in: the gears and intermediate shafts are not only processed to a first-class standard, but also help you bring the final rpm down to a bearable level and let the top speed increase significantly.

And don't worry about the usual myths that the engine no longer launches well with a longer ratio: usually, minimally harder clutch springs are sufficient to compensate for this. On the contrary – if the gearbox is far too short for the available horsepower, you actually waste valuable power because the engine could actually pull significantly more.
