BGM BigBox Sport V2 for Vespa PX200

The BGM BigBox Sport V2 is a purebred Vespa racing exhaust, in the unassuming design of an original exhaust. It positions itself as a clear alternative to large and conspicuous resonance exhaust systems. The high performance readiness clearly distinguishes the BBS2 from other box systems. NEW BBS V2
The basic concept has been retained and only adapted to the increased demands of higher engine outputs and displacements. Thus, the BGM BBS2 (=Big Box Sport V2) has enlarged pipe cross-sections both inside the box and in the end pipe area. This effectively prevents the performance fading that often occurs with very powerful engines (above 30 hp).

Furthermore, the often criticized ground clearance of the header pipe has been changed. The system is now fully suitable for everyday use and has the same ground clearance as a comparable resonance exhaust.
As with the Big Box Touring V2, the BBS2 now also features a connecting flange between the header pipe and the exhaust body.

REQUIREMENTS
The BGM BBS2, like any good racing exhaust, requires a powerful engine concept to develop its full performance. In the vicinity of cylinders such as the Quattrini M244 or Malossi MHR, it offers impressive results. It supports engine outputs above 25 hp without problems and pushes forward with a solid torque. Despite its high peak performance, the Sport Box kicks in early and also allows for relaxed driving. Due to its consistent design for high gas flow, the BigBox Sport is not intended for use with near-standard engines or mild tuned cylinders. It needs a clear and strong exhaust pulse to fill the large volume and thick header pipe of the Sport Box with life.

ACOUSTICS
Due to the high engine output, the BBS2 cannot be a 'quiet' exhaust. As with all exhaust systems, there is always a balance between damping volume and the displacement for which the exhaust system is designed. With the very confined space under a Vespa, it is therefore very difficult to accommodate the necessary damping volume for an engine with 220cc or more without reducing performance. The BBS2 therefore represents a compromise between maximum performance readiness and acceptable volume.

The header pipe is attached to the cylinder using a clamp. This provides the best stability compared to a loose attachment with an O-ring seal and prevents damage to the exhaust flange. For optimal ground clearance, a long spacer should be used on the rear shock absorber.
