Description

The history of the Italian company RMS dates back to 1945, which, in addition to tuning parts, produces first-class spare parts and accessories in absolute original equipment quality for classic Vespa scooters.

The cable for the throttle grip is available in two variations: One end is always open and must be shortened accordingly on the vehicle, the second end is available either with a small solder nipple or the larger barrel nipple!

Generally speaking:

  • Small solder nipple = for attaching to the gas slider on the carburetor
  • Barrel nipple = for hanging on the gas roller on the handlebar


The cable hoists are very important components on a Vespa! Whether gas, brake, gearshift or clutch - everything is controlled here by cable pull. Therefore, the trains should also be regularly maintained accordingly. A cunning train is annoying - most often it happens on a tour when you don't have a replacement with you! So the tip for all Vespa drivers: Whether in the glove box or for the garage at home, having a few spare trains in stock can never hurt!

Tip: Replace frayed rope hoists in time before it comes to the crack! Set a few millimetres of cable pull clearance (according to manufacturer's specifications). Even trains running too tight can quickly break!

Do not lubricate cable hoists with PTFE outer shell with creeping oils! For this, there are extra dry lubricants based on PTFE. Care for all others best with creeping oils such as WD40!
