This CR pad set includes:

• 3x clutch plates coated on both sides
• 1x clutch plate with half sides

This makes it suitable for all Vespa Largeframe Superstrong CR clutches.

NOTE: Lambretta LTH Liedolsheim and Vespa Smallframe MMW Hartz clutches require another fully loaded clutch plate (BGM8085S). If necessary, order them separately or order the single lens 4 times (BGM8085S).

FEATURES
The CR clutch lining type differs significantly from conventional Vespa clutch linings.
Originally used in the clutches of the Honda CR80/VFR400 models, they offer the following advantages over the standard Piaggio Cosa pads:

• larger effective radius

• less weight

• wider straps

• Carrier material: aluminum
  

• very durable covering material

• 1:1 exchange with the standard coverings (without modifications)

The advantages are a lighter coupling that separates faster and is extremely resilient.
Despite the supposedly smaller lining area, the coupling with the CR pad type can transmit more torque with the same spring force.
Only the effective radius is decisive for this, not the size of the friction surface as such (this is only relevant for wear and tear).

Thanks to the extremely resistant lining material, the CR pads can also be used in very powerful engines in everyday life. Another major advantage here is the higher coupling plates compared to original linings.

A CR pad set enables a clean and freely separating clutch even with very little lever travel. Furthermore, the lining material enables very simple and safe switching processes at high speeds.

RECOMMENDATION
We also recommend low-alloyed gear oil in the API GL3/GL4 classes for high-performance engines to prevent the clutch from slipping even under extreme loads. This also applies to our BGM Superstrong/Superstrong CR couplings. The old SAE30 engine oil specification complies with today's SAE 85W/90 transmission oil specification.
