Description

The history of the Italian company RMS dates back to 1945, and it has consistently produced high-quality replacement and accessory parts for scooters ever since.

 

The weights of the variator are subject to constant wear during operation. Due to centrifugal force as engine speed increases, the weights slide outward in the variator track, shifting the variator and thus changing the gear ratio. Because the contact surface of the weights is relatively small, they develop flattening after a few thousand kilometers and must be replaced, otherwise poor shifting performance and eventual seizing within the variator will occur.

 

RMS variator weights are manufactured from a highly wear-resistant material and are characterized by their very good dimensional and weight accuracy. Longevity and good sliding properties at a fair price!

 

RMS weights are used without grease, as the surface is self-lubricating.
