Description
The history of the Italian company RMS dates back to 1945, and it has consistently produced high-quality replacement and accessory parts for scooters ever since.
Variator weights are subject to continuous wear during operation. As the engine speed increases, the weights slide outward in the variator due to centrifugal force, shifting the variator and thus changing the transmission ratio. Because the contact surface of the weights is relatively small, they develop flattening after a few thousand kilometers and must be replaced, otherwise poor shifting behavior and possible embedding in the variator will be the result.
RMS variator weights are manufactured from a highly wear-resistant material and are characterized by their very good accuracy in terms of dimensions and weight. Durability and good sliding properties at a fair price!
RMS weights are used without grease, as the surface is self-lubricating.
