Description
The history of the Italian company RMS dates back to 1945, and it has consistently produced first-class spare parts and accessories for scooters ever since.
The weights of the variator are subject to constant wear during operation. Due to centrifugal force as engine speed increases, the weights slide outwards in the variator track, shifting the variator and thus changing the transmission ratio. Because the contact surface of the weights is quite small, they develop flattening after a few thousand kilometers and must be replaced, otherwise poor shifting behavior and later possible embedding in the variator would be the consequence.
RMS variator weights are made of a highly wear-resistant material and are characterized by their very good accuracy in terms of dimensions and weight. Longevity and good sliding properties at a fair price!
RMS weights are used without grease, as the surface is self-lubricating.
