Description

The history of the Italian company RMS dates back to 1945, which has always produced first-class spare parts and accessories for scooters.

The variomatic drive of our scooter is the heart of the engine. It is quite insensitive and works very reliably, but you should keep the maintenance intervals. The most important parts here are the V-belt and the variator, in which centrifugal force weights (also called variomatic rollers) work.

The variator itself can wear out in the area of the guide of its liners. The result is a too low and suspended acceleration speed and thus reduced power. The centrifugal weights become slightly angular over time, then no longer work properly and may cause damage to their raceway in the variator if wear is too advanced.
