Due to the optimized roller runways for the variomatic weights and an optimized climbing surface, the shifting behavior changes to very linear and, with good coordination, allows a much better start-up behavior and a slightly increased acceleration.

In the course of many thousands of kilometers, the original variator will eventually be incorporated into its bush. Due to the development of the V-belt wear, this "rubber dummy" fits onto the bushings and the variomatic does not switch clean anymore.
