Description
The Oversize Vario from Stage6 - the perfect addition to the Stage6 Oversize Converter. An integral part of racing and MIDRACE engines: enlarged CVT systems that extend the entire shift range.
The Stage6-R/T-Vario has newly calculated roller tracks optimized for R/T motors for 19x15.5mm weights - resulting in a very homogeneous speed curve that affects the entire acceleration phase. The edge angles are precisely machined on a CNC lathe and then sealed with a ceramic conversion coating to maintain surface finish and roughness for longer. Glass blasting as with pure aluminium converters is not necessary, or only when the coating shows clear signs of use. The climbing disc has a reinforced contact area. The sintered liner ensures optimum lubrication properties.
Also included is the fan half including fan as well as a set of weights and a matching Stage6-R/T counterpressure spring. A special reinforced crown nut allows easier assembly and more stable fixation of the Vario. Special mounting tools are also available from Stage6.
Although the Oversize Vario can also be used with standard converters, the optimal performance can only be achieved in conjunction with the Oversize Converter and an extended Oversize V-Belt.
The Variomatic Kit is supplied without a star disc. Please use the original star disc. For trouble-free operation of this oversize variator, the starter freewheel and starter ring gear must be completely dismantled. This means that the electric starter cannot be operated any further.
