The back pressure spring plays an important role in tuning the variator. It exerts the back pressure on the rear converter and thus has a considerable influence on the shifting behavior of the variomatic. The back pressure spring should be strengthened if the V-belt tends to slip, the variator does not shift evenly at the power speed or the engine still runs below the power speed despite light weights. By replacing the back pressure spring, the variomatic has to be retuned.
You always buy only one back pressure spring, here the one with 45% spring strength. The 53% and 61% versions can be found in our store!
