Description

The red cable starter from Swiing is specially developed for Piaggio Ciao models with mono or variomatic drives. This product is ready to install and is ideal for racing and for heavy loads. The pull starter enables a reliable starting process and is manufactured with robust materials to ensure a long service life.

Installation on the vehicle:

  • Clean all mounting surfaces thoroughly.
  • Screw the appropriate counterpart for the pull starter onto the coupling or variomatic.
  • Secure the flange nut with liquid protection such as Loctite.
  • Easily secure the housing adapter with the included motor screws.
  • Complete the round housing with the cable starter unit and secure it with M5x45mm screws.
  • Tighten the motor screws.

Start process:

  • Slowly pull the cable a few times before each start attempt to let the engine spin empty.
  • Hold the handle firmly and pull until resistance is felt.
  • End the start process with a strong pull.
  • Tip: gloves provide more grip!

Attention: When installing the cable starter, the pedaling system becomes inaccessible. Footpegs, a longer pedal axle or a pedal axle extension are required.
