Digital speed limiter with magnet double check and automatic reactivation - Digital calculation and control of speed and speed.

Function:
The DZB has as its core a powerful microprocessor, which continuously calculates and evaluates the current speed and speed. The speed is determined by the DZB via the supplied wheel sensor together with a small self-adhesive magnet for the rim. The speed is calculated directly via the CDI ignition pickup cable at each piston revolution.
The DZB can be operated in KMH, speed or combination mode.

KMH mode:
In KMH mode, you save a speed limit to the DZB. If this limit is reached, the DZB reduces the scooter by reducing the speed. Via a variably adjustable pre-press, the speed is gradually reduced just before the top speed is reached, in order to achieve a clean transition. If you are below the set maximum speed, the speed is not regulated. Compared to regular speed limiters, this has a positive effect on acceleration and speed when uphill rides. To operate the DZB in KMH mode, the supplied wheel sensor and wheel magnet must be installed on the front or rear wheel.

Speed Mode:
In speed mode, the wheel sensor is not needed. Here, the DZB only throttles the scooter via the adjustable maximum speed. If the maximum speed is reached, the DZB regulates the machine. At a speed below the set limit, the DZB does not intervene. Thus, there is no loss of power in the lower speed range. In order to soften the transition to the throttling a bit, different sizes of precursors can also be set here. In these precursors, the DZB throttles every 3rd ignition pulse just before reaching the maximum speed.

Combination mode:
In combo mode, the DZB operates simultaneously with the set speed and KMH limit. This is especially useful if you want to set a fairly high rotating scooter to a low end speed. To ensure that the scooter does not turn suspiciously high when starting, the maximum speed can be reduced even before reaching the final speed.

Programming and control: Programming
the maximum speed/maximum speed is very simple. A simple pressure on the internal program button is sufficient to save the current speed or speed as an upper limit, depending on the operating mode.
To deactivate the throttling, simply pull the brake briefly and drive at the same time with the supplied magnet via the magnet sensor. To activate the throttling again, you just have to turn the ignition off and on again.

Dimensions:
The case is tiny. The dimensions are 45x45x18mm + fixing eyelet. The length of the connection cable is 45-50cm, the sensor cable for deactivation is approx. 100cm long. The dimensions of the wheel sensor are only approx. 28 x 19 mm, the cable length is approx. 50 cm.
Attention: The original cable length of the wheel sensor is quite short with 50 cm, especially if the sensor is to be mounted on the front wheel or near the axle hub!
You will also receive 4 quick cable connectors, with which the assembly is child's play and is super fast! No more cutting and soldering on the wiring harness!

Installation:
For installation you need to connect the 4 cables of the DZB. You will need +12V (switched via the ignition switch), brake signal, pickup signal and mass/minus. For KMH mode, you must additionally attach the wheel sensor and wheel magnet to the front or rear wheel of the scooter. The sensor detects the wheel rotation, similar to a bicycle speedometer. The distance between sensor and magnet on the wheel should be about 5-15mm. The wheel sensor can usually be easily fixed between the wheel and the variomatic housing, frame or fork. The magnet is equipped with a 3M adhesive layer and can be easily attached to the rim edge or inside the brake disc. Although the magnet is self-adhesive, we recommend that you fix the magnet with a 2K adhesive permanet when you have found the optimal position.
Inside the DZB there are two control LEDs that allow you to check the correct installation and function.
