Description
To compensate for the 5mm longer connecting rod of the 55mm long-stroke crankshafts for Piaggio / Gilera Maxi two-stroke engines, a spacer is essential.
This cylinder base spacer is made of very high-quality material and fits all 125 - 150 - 180 cc Piaggio two-stroke engines, whether AC or LC.
As the engine casings are not always 100% identical by nature at the ports, minor adjustments to the spacer may be necessary.
However, these are very easy to perform due to its aluminum construction. Not necessarily needed, but anyone undertaking the effort of using a long-stroke crankshaft and possibly further modifications to their engine will be aware of this point.
- Thickness = 6mm
- Extreme accuracy of fit. Highest quality level due to water jet cutting.
Attention: This spacer does not only compensate for the longer connecting rod, but also a slight increase in stroke of a long-stroke crankshaft.
Due to its thickness of 6mm, you can avoid having to additionally shim with base gaskets (paper), depending on the desired port timing angles.
