Description
With the Super Silent insulation wool from Stage6, we can offer you high quality racing insulation wool with the best insulation and temperature resistant properties.
For noise insulation and the life of the insulation material, the filling quantity (= sealing density) is essential. Since the insulation wool does not consist of a contiguous mat, it can be removed individually and the rear silencer is easy to fill. Please note the following hints:
Too “soft” stuffed:
The exhaust sounds silent at first, but after a short time the insulation material shifts up and an empty space forms; the damper becomes loud again, and the insulation material wears out excessively fast.
Too “hard” stuffed:
Long service life of the insulation material, but no optimal noise insulation. The exhaust may be louder if necessary.
Attention:
Do not wrap too tightly and do not press too tightly. After the case is completely filled, you should be able to push the material together about 2-3 cm. So there must be a certain “game” in the rear silencer! Mount end cap, gaps between caps and housing can be additionally sealed with heat-resistant silicone.
