Description
The sealing set of Schmitt well seals is specifically designed for Simson models like S51, S53, S70, S83, Schwalbe KR51/2, SR50 and SR80. This set consists of high-quality FKM double-lipped shaft seals that are equipped with directional oil-feeding spiral-lip seals.
These seals are marked with RD, LD or WD to indicate the respective direction of rotation. The built-in twist ensures continuous refeed of lubricants to bearing or shaft even when the shaft is stationary. The material FKM is characterized by its excellent resistance to fuels and lubricants, making the seals particularly durable.

The difference between FPM and FKM essentially lies in the designation of the same basic material, fluororubber. FKM is the abbreviation for Fluoroelastomers according to the American standard ASTM. In our range, all products made of fluororubber are designated with the abbreviation FKM.
