Description
The gearshift lever is an important component of Vespa. The ratchet is operated by means of the gearshifts, thus setting the desired gear. A worn-out gear shift may cause jumping of the gears! Then an exchange is said to be unseen.
Unfortunately, there are occasional problems with the switching ratchets. The first basic difference is the rims of the PX models of the first series and the more recent Lusso models. Due to differences in the main shafts and shifting bars, there are different catches.
The third gear differs by 1.5mm for these two versions. So if you drive a PX old with lock in the steering head cover, so should not block any Lusso gearshift.
RMS also offers the detent with neutral display!
Do not forget to order the new seal and grease the shift knob properly after installation!
