Description
The rectifier or regulator changes the alternating current generated in the alternator into the 12V direct current used in the on-board electrical system and keeps the voltage within a certain tolerance range. This charges the battery and ensures that, for example, incandescent bulbs do not burn out. Delivered as pictured with 5 cables (2 multi-plugs)
Since this component is exposed to very high temperature loads, it frequently fails. If the rectifier / regulator is defective, the battery is constantly empty, in certain ignition systems the ignition system no longer works, incandescent bulbs burn out continuously, or the headlights flicker.
