Description

In the case of a slight compression or power loss, it does not have to be a completely new cylinder. In most cases it is the piston rings, which have received too much impact play due to natural wear.

Worn piston rings are clearly visible on the black burnt piston shirt front and rear (so-called blow-by, past the rings). If, after a few thousand kilometers, the engine is open for maintenance, it is definitely advisable to buy new piston rings and continue to enjoy the cylinder set for a long time!

The new rings should be retracted for a short time as they have to be ground in. Good oil, warm up and a few kilometers drive carefully enough!

Here: a piston ring! Two rings are required per piston!
