Description

Very important component!
The oil pump belt runs on this pinion and simultaneously drives the water pump located in the engine block for water-cooled engines. Often the fit inside the pinion wears off and it can happen that the water pump shaft is no longer rotated! Consequence: Capital engine damage due to overheating!

Should not be forgotten at any inspection.

Note: This sprocket is extra for all air-cooled engines! It does not have a recess for a water pump shaft at the rear, but the round mount.
