Description
The rectifier or regulator changes the AC voltage generated in the alternator to the DC voltage of 12V used in the on-board network and keeps the voltage within a certain tolerance range. This charges the battery and ensures that incandescent lamps do not burn out, for example.
As this component is exposed to very high temperature loads, it often breaks down.
If the rectifier /controller is defective, the battery is constantly empty, with certain ignition systems, the ignition system stops working, incandescent lamps burn out continuously or the driving lights flicker.
