Description
The motoscope tiny with ABE is a very small, analog speedometer in a 49mm format.
It measures speed digitally and displays it precisely via a stepper motor and needle. Due to the installation diameter of 49 mm and an installation depth of only 24 mm, various installation options are available. Sophisticated technology makes the classic look possible without compromise. The dial is completely without a display cutout and LCD, and looks convincing in a classic style. The perfect solution for purists and minimalists.
The housing:
The high-quality aluminum housing is turned from solid material and its surface is black anodized. The screw ring is also available black anodized or high-polish polished. The housing is 100% waterproof and insensitive to vibrations.
Dial and display:
The analog dial in black and white contrast is indirectly illuminated by white LEDs. Behind the black part of the dial is an innovative LED display hidden, which only shines through the dial during operation and is not visible in the switched-off state! To achieve optimal readability in darkness, sun, and twilight, the luminosity of the LEDs is automatically adjusted. If the 200 km/h on the analog scale is exceeded, the speed is automatically displayed in the LED display. The maximum speed is also stored. The 4 indicator lights (blue, red, 2 x green) are also integrated into the dial. These also only become visible during operation.
Operation:
The supplied menu button or, for example, the horn button on the handlebar is used to switch between the displays of the LED display. The standard display on the screen is the time. If required, short button presses display the values for total kilometers, trip kilometers, onboard voltage, etc. All functions, such as resetting the trip kilometer counter or similar, are easy to operate via the button. Presettings or stored values obviously remain saved even without a power supply.
Installation:
The motoscope tiny is easily attached using the two M3 threaded bushings on the back. We offer various brackets for mounting.
Connection and sensors:
The detailed installation and operating instructions (see under Downloads) make the connection of the instrument possible even for users who have previously stayed away from vehicle electronics. The supplied speedometer sensor made of stainless steel is very small (M5/23 mm) and easy to hide. With the 1.5 m long connection cable, it can be easily attached to the front or rear wheel. Thus, vehicles with original mechanical speedometer drives can also be easily converted. The motoscope tiny is compatible with very many original speedometer sensors (reed contacts and proximity sensors) from vehicle manufacturers. In this case, only connections are linked and the mechanical installation of a sensor becomes entirely unnecessary. An intelligent 'Teach function' enables easy calibration of the speedometer - even for vehicles with sensors on the gearbox such as Harley-Davidson (TM).
