Installation Instructions:

  • Remove the front number plate.
  • Carefully cut any cable ties holding the start and stop switch cables to the handlebar, and loosen the clamps.
  • Locate the connector for the switch on the motorcycle, often near the steering head or under the tank.
  • Disconnect the connector and remove the switch, noting the cable routing.
  • Clean the connector with contact spray.
  • Loosely attach the new switch to the handlebar in the desired position.
  • Route the cables as with the old switch and connect the connectors.
  • Check cable clearance by fully turning the handlebar, and adjust if necessary.
  • Secure the cables with cable ties to prevent damage.
  • Reinstall the number plate.
