Description

The RFX Race Kill- and Mapping-Switch is a precise OEM-replacement part specifically designed for motorcycles. It offers the same quality and fit as the original part and is equipped with the same couplings, fasteners, and cable connections. The switch is suitable for a variety of motorcycles and allows for easy installation thanks to the original cable connections and OEM cable length.

Installation is straightforward: First, remove the front number plate and carefully release all cable ties holding the start and stop switch cables to the handlebars. Afterwards, you can unscrew the clamps and let the switches hang down. The connector for the switch is often located near the steering head on the chassis, but may also be hidden under the tank. Remove the old switch and remember the cable routing. Clean the connector with a contact cleaner such as Maxima Electrical Contact Cleaner. Loosely attach the new switch to the handlebar in the desired position, route the cables as with the old switch, and connect the connectors. Check the cable clearance by fully turning the handlebar to ensure that the cables are not too tight. Adjust them if necessary. Secure the cables with cable ties to protect them from damage, and re-mount the number plate.
