Description
A grippy all-round all-season & winter tire for scooters. The rubber compound and tread pattern are adapted to the requirements of the cold season, just like on a car winter tire. Cold outdoor temperatures (from approx. 6 degrees Celsius) place special demands on scooter tires, which is why winter tires have a much softer rubber compound. The extremely high silica content allows the tire to retain its elasticity even at cold temperatures.
This is what the trade press says: "Compared to conventional scooter tires, the new Urban Snow from IRC offers numerous advantages: better handling on dry roads, high drainage and optimal grip in wet conditions and cold weather, best possible traction and lateral guidance on snow and ice, as well as unparalleled riding comfort and high mileage. The Urban Snow is therefore the ideal scooter tire for every season." - World of Bike, Issue September 2011
For your own safety, we recommend switching to winter tires when:
- Black ice
- Slush
- Snow and
- Ice or frost.
For anyone who cannot or does not want to give up their scooter in winter, we recommend mounting M+S tires!
Tires with an embossed M+S marking (mud and snow) are of course also suitable as all-season tires.
