Description

Grippy all-around all-season & winter tires for motor scooters. The rubber compound and tread pattern are adjusted to the requirements of the cold season, like with a car winter tire. Cold outside temperatures (from around 6 degrees Celsius) place special demands on scooter tires, therefore winter tires have a considerably softer rubber compound. The extremely high silica content allows the tire to retain its elasticity even at cold temperatures.

This is what the trade press writes: "Compared to conventional scooter tires, the new Urban Snow from IRC offers numerous advantages: better driving characteristics on dry roads, high drainage and optimal grip in wet and cold conditions, best possible traction and lateral guidance on snow and ice, as well as unparalleled driving comfort and high mileage. The Urban Snow is therefore the ideal scooter tire for every season." - World of Bike, September 2011 issue

For your own safety, we recommend converting to winter tires when:

  • Black ice
  • Slush
  • Snow-covered roads and
  • Icy or frosted roads.

For anyone who cannot or does not want to give up their scooter even in winter, we recommend mounting M+S tires!

Tires with an embossed M+S marking (mud and snow) are of course also suitable as all-season tires.
