- 1973Gianni L. Mancassola sets up a craft business in the small village of Bagnolo di Lonigo, in the province of Vicenza, Italy. Specialized in industrial seals first. Metal parts were also added later.
- 1987Athena continues to grow and moves to a new headquarters in Alonte. Bluetech is also founded. Bluetech is a separate department that manufactures and sells standard rubber and rubber-metal parts.

- 2009Athena is not only focused on growth, but also wants to become greener. Near the headquarters in Alone, Athena is commissioning 11,502 solar panels. Athena can therefore generate almost 30% of the energy consumed by itself.
Athena also founds the Sportech division. Sportech is responsible for the sale of GoPro action cams. Internationalization is also continuing. A plant is being built in India. - 2010With the takeover of Omnicompetition, Athena is entering the racing automotive spare parts market.
- 2016Athena Automotive & Industrial Parts Co. Ltd. is founded in China. This allows Athena to offer products and services even in the huge Asian market.
- 2018A new logistics center is being built at the headquarters in Alonte. Athena also acquires SCE Gaskets Tennessee USA. This will further strengthen the presence in the USA.
In order to be even more present in southern Europe, the distribution of Athena products is started in Spain. - 2019Athena began its internationalization in Brazil over 20 years ago. A new 7,800 m² plant is now being inaugurated in Lontras, Brazil. Because with the acquisition of Servitec, new electrical and electronic products for motorcycles are added to the range.
- 2020A new plant with an area of more than 3,000 m² is being built in Tennessee, USA. This will further expand the existing presence in the USA.
