Description

The Schmitt cylinder kit is the ideal choice for moped riders who are looking for a reliable spare part. With a diameter of 38mm and a stroke of 42mm, it offers a real engine capacity of 48cc. This kit is specifically designed for mopeds with Sachs 504 and 505 engines, including models such as Hercules Prima, KTM Pony, and many more.

The cylinder has been redesigned from the ground up to retain its original look, while using modern manufacturing techniques. Schmitt places great value on quality and recommends use with an 85/10 moped carburettor for optimal performance. The control times as well as the channel and combustion chamber geometry are true to the original, which reflects the engine performance of the original part.

Made using a die-cast process, the cylinder provides an excellent surface finish. The 3 mm cast iron socket ensures durability and a long product life. The piston is made of an aluminum alloy with 18% silicon content and is equipped with two piston rings, which ensure maximum mileage. A molybdenum disulfide coating improves gliding properties during the running-in phase.
