Description
With the MXT tool, we can offer you a locking tool for the variator. An ideal tool for properly disassembling the fan wheel / pulley and later being able to correctly tighten the crankshaft nut according to the manufacturer's specifications.
Should not be missing in any well-equipped workshop. This makes belt or roller changes a breeze. A one-time purchase provides years of use with the robust tool.
The MXT tool can be attached directly to the housing using screws and enables an extremely secure hold of the pulley.
In many cases, damage to the pulleys and crankshafts frequently occurs because the assembly is incorrect.
Installation Notes: Use original washers correctly. Before tightening the crankshaft nut, always pull the drive belt into the torque converter at the rear, otherwise you will only tighten the pulley against the drive belt and the pulley will not be properly pressed onto the variator's bearing sleeve. Otherwise, the internal serration, which only serves for centering, will spin and may even cause damage to the crankshaft.
Be sure to observe the manufacturer's torque specifications; if possible, always use a new nut and medium-strength threadlocker.
