The brake light switch from Highsider SMART replaces the original contact switch of the brake light control and is manufactured in OEM quality. It is available for the front and for the rear.

If the contact switch fails, the brake light remains dark, without the brake itself being affected. Replacing it with an OEM quality part restores the function without requiring intervention in the brake hydraulics.

Installation and application notes

  • The defective switch is unplugged and removed, and the replacement switch is placed in the same position and reconnected. After installation, it must be checked whether the brake light responds clearly and extinguishes again for both the hand and foot brake.

Note on inspection before purchase

  • Before purchase, it should be verified whether the switch is required for the front or rear brake and whether the design and plug connection correspond to the existing part.
