The Highsider SMART universal emergency kill switch operates with a magnetic switch and is attached to the handlebar via a clamp. When the magnetic plug is pulled out, it switches to continuity, creating a short circuit to ground.

The rubber cord connects the plug to the rider: if the rider involuntarily leaves the vehicle, the plug is pulled out and the engine is shut off immediately. This is the decisive difference from a pure hand switch, which can no longer be reached during a crash.

Installation and Application Notes

• The clamp is placed around the handlebar tube and screwed tight, then the switch is integrated into the ignition circuit. The rubber cord is attached to the rider. After installation, it must be checked whether the engine shuts off reliably when the plug is pulled.

Note on Inspection Before Purchase

• Before purchase, the handlebar diameter at the intended installation location and the wiring of the ignition circuit must be checked, as the switch shorts to ground when triggered.
