Old batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. End-users are legally obliged to return batteries to a suitable collection point. Shipping of old batteries via regular parcel services is generally not possible due to hazardous goods regulations. Alternatively, old batteries can be disposed of free of charge at municipal recycling centers or in specialist shops.
