Malossi Primary Gear Ratio 16/37 – for higher top speed for heavily tuned Piaggio/Vespa 50ccm
When your engine has received a significant power boost, the transmission must not be the bottleneck: With the Malossi Primary Gear Ratio 16/37, you lengthen the gear ratio so that the additional power gained through tuning measures is actually converted into speed – instead of just RPM.
Especially for many popular Piaggio scooters such as the Piaggio Zip 2 50, Piaggio NRG 50 or the Vespa ET2 50, a longer primary ratio is a typical and sensible step once the cylinder, exhaust or setup becomes significantly sportier.
