The transmissions in the small automatic moped engines from Puch are filled with oil to ensure optimal lubrication.

Due to the meshing gears and high coefficients of friction, so-called shear forces occur, causing the transmission oil to age relatively quickly and be subjected to high stress. Therefore, the manufacturer's prescribed maintenance interval should be observed.
