Description

The history of the Italian company RMS dates back to 1945, which has always produced first-class spare parts and accessories for scooters.

The Vespa has no pressure supply of the carburetor with gasoline, as is known from modern automatic scooters with petrol pumps. The tank is located above the carburetor and is equipped with a fuel tap (outlet). The gasoline runs down to the engine according to gravity when the tap is open. If, over the years, however, the fuel tap is clogged with residues and dirt and no longer has a good passage, it can quickly become critical at continuous full throttle on the motorway (higher fuel quantity required)! The engine is leaned and clamped!

Therefore the following applies: after many years the fuel tap may also be replaced. Always install new gasket!

To disassemble, use special fuel tap mounting keys, as the mounting nut sits inside inside the tank.

Note: Does not fit PK 50 & 125 Automatica models!
