Description
EBR is one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality two-wheel fork suspensions! Many manufacturers equip their scooters ex-works with the precise and very high-quality suspension elements from the Italian chassis specialists!
Anyone who drives a Piaggio NRG will certainly have struggled with the poorly damping original fork.
The factory-installed USD (Upside-Down) fork by Piaggio is not actually a proper USD fork, but only comes with a grease filling. The indicated oil seals are merely grease scrapers. The fork loses all the properties that should be present in a reasonable front wheel guide of a sports scooter even at a young age, after only a few thousand kilometers.
The grease leaks out, smears the fork tubes, and the TÜV (German Vehicle Inspection Association) will gladly complain about this. It bottoms out when compressing or often gets stuck at the bottom. Road bumps are directly passed on to the driver...
The EBR fork is an oil-damped telescopic fork, with the fork tubes facing downwards. It was first used in this design in the large Gilera Runner models with the four-stroke engine (VX 125 and VXR 180 / 200).
The oil can of course be changed in this fork.
Especially with performance-enhanced scooters (but of course also with original scooters!) you should invest a little in the chassis. With this fork you have a completely new driving experience, a better front wheel guide and also the braking behavior improves immensely due to the better immersion of the fork! You are therefore also doing something for your safety.
