Description

Malossi Special Belt V-Belt – robust for Piaggio Boss & Piaggio SI

The Malossi Special Belt is a tuning V-belt for classic Piaggio mopeds such as Piaggio Boss and Piaggio SI. Malossi is known for convincing, sophisticated tuning parts – and this belt also scores primarily with high durability and tear resistance, which is particularly important for heavily tuned engines.

Important to know: Due to the aramid insert, slippage may occur – especially in the starting phase, when the transmission ratio is still small and a corresponding amount of force acts on the rear variator. To ensure the V-belt works cleanly in the setup, proper tuning is decisive.

Advantages & Setup Notes

  • Very durable and tear-resistant – ideal if your engine is heavily tuned
  • Aramid insert for high stability
  • Can slip during the starting phase (especially under high load on the rear variator)
  • Recommendation: Installation of a harder contrast spring and tuning of the variator is nearly essential

Why Malossi?

Malossi stands for proven tuning components with a focus on performance and durability. Especially for a setup for Piaggio Boss or Piaggio SI, a resilient V-belt is a crucial point – particularly if you are running more power than stock.

Tip: When installing the V-belt for Piaggio Boss or Piaggio SI, plan the tuning (contrast spring/variator) immediately – this is how you get the best function out of the drive.
