Description
The steel rim of the Vespa has been specially designed so that you can change a tire on the go with minimal tool use. The rim is divided into two parts, the tire is driven with a hose. The advantage of the design was that the Vespa has the same rim at the front and rear, and the spare wheel under the left side panel can therefore be used for both.
Rust in the bed of the two-part rims occurs after many years, but can damage the hose due to the rough surface. The rim should be renewed when changing the tyre.
The size of the rim is indicated in inches. The width of the rim is just as important as the height. This is also always indicated in inches (example: 2.10).
The RMS steel rims are available in different colours, they have a very high quality, no sharp edges and are high-quality varnished.
