The sport cylinder is made of high-quality aluminum and has a coated cylinder bore. Thanks to the 153ccm displacement, the torque increases noticeably and a higher top speed is achieved. Especially with the Yamaha XC 125 Cygnus X (from year 2005), the upgrade becomes apparent quickly: better acceleration and an overall more confident driving feeling.

Setup Tip for the Best Result

Malossi clearly recommends the combination with a Malossi Multivar. Additionally, you should definitely choose a richer jetting for the carburetor – or for fuel-injected models, have the injection system adjusted. A Multivar variator together with the longer final drive from Malossi is also considered a great addition. And if you want to optimize further: Malossi also offers modified camshafts for converting the original cylinder head.
