Description
The switch is one of the most heavily loaded parts in the Vespa engine. At every change of gear, it is positioned between gears by shift ratchet and shifting rod and ensures the force connection to the drive shaft / rear wheel! This makes it a permanently loaded component which is subject to natural wear and tear.
When the engine is open, the switch should be subjected to a visual inspection at least! If the flanks show signs of wear or wear, it is immediately exchanged. A defective gear shift leads to jumping of the gears and can cause greater damage if the wear is too high.
Caution: Depending on the Vespa and the year of construction, various models have been installed.
