Description
Schmitt "Dampfhammer" crankshaft for racing and engines with high peak performance. This premium crankshaft has a 48 mm stroke and a 90 mm CNC-machined forged connecting rod. Schmitt defines the application range of this crankshaft for Big Bore engines from 80-110 ccm displacement suitable for Simson S51, S70, S83 with M500, M700 engine cases.
The technical highlights at a glance:
- optimized pre-compression for a wide torque band, suitable from 80 ccm to 110 ccm displacement
- balancing factor of 65 %
- high-strength, yet lightweight (<71 g) forged connecting rod- CNC machined, for large 17 mm needle bearings at the piston pin
- larger, silver-plated piston pin bearing 12 x 17 x 15 mm for 12 mm piston pin included in delivery
- the upper and lower needle bearings are optimally lubricated by several extra-large bores in the connecting rod
- extended crankshaft stub on the clutch side for an optional 3rd crankshaft bearing
- bottom-guided connecting rod with further reinforced press fit and larger connecting rod eye
- 10-15 % heavier than the stock crankshaft
- RPM resistant >15,000 rpm
