Crankshaft BGM PRO for Vespa GS150 and Motovespa 150 S, Sprint, GS Models

Manufactured from high-alloyed forged blanks. The crankshaft is designed as a high-performance tuning crankshaft and features a 3mm longer stroke (60mm instead of 57mm). This increases the cylinder displacement, but more importantly, it allows for fine-tuning of the port timings of the intake, exhaust, and transfer ports.

Due to the angle function of the connecting rod, not all port timings grow proportionally. While the exhaust port changes only slightly, the port timing of the transfer channels usually increases significantly. Adjusting the exhaust port angle (lengthening) is important to restore the original advance angle (exhaust port angle minus transfer port angle divided by two). This creates the conditions for a solid performance increase.

• Connecting Rod Bearing: Needle Bearing (silver cage top and bottom)

A major advantage of the BGM PRO crankshaft compared to an original is the use of a high-quality connecting rod with needle bearing (instead of a plain bearing bush) and a split lower connecting rod eye. This significantly reduces the oil requirement, so that the engines can be operated without any problems with the modern high-quality oils, even with a 1:50 mixture ratio.
