The crankshaft bearings enable smooth operation of your crankshaft even at high speeds. The bearings are indispensable when replacing the crankshaft or performing a complete engine overhaul.

Careful installation is important. Heat the bearing seat sufficiently and carefully insert the bearings. Ensure extreme cleanliness and use the correct tools. We also carry cleaners and sealant for the crankcase.

Please pay attention to the correct installation. Extreme cleanliness and the right tools are important here. To ensure everything goes smoothly, we also have cleaners and special sealant for the crankcase in our range.

Installation notes:

Heat the bearing seat of the crankcase half sufficiently with a hot air gun. Insert the crankshaft bearings into the strongly heated bearing seat of the engine housing without tilting. Do the same with the second crankcase half. Then, carefully heat the inner ring of the bearing in the large crankcase half. The crankshaft can now be inserted into the bearing. After applying the sealant (some engines require a paper gasket instead of sealant) to the sealing surface of the small engine half, heat the inner ring of the bearing there sufficiently as well. Now mount the small crankcase half onto the large one. Tighten the housing screws crosswise (to avoid tilting) and allow everything to cool down.

In order for the crankshaft to run smoothly in the bearings, it is essential to give the shaft a setting blow on the left and right with a copper hammer. The shaft must now rotate absolutely freely and run on in the bearings, and the connecting rod should swing freely. Only then insert the oil seals.
